Yesterday was bittersweet for Brady Quinn. I heard many pre-draft interviews with him and Quinn thought he was going to be a top 1-3 selection. I never thought so, but you have to give the guy credit for confidence.
It was painful watching team after team pass up on Quinn and then seeing the depression set in. When Miami passed on Quinn with the 9th overall pick, I was a little shocked. It’s not like they have a solidified QB situation in Miami.
But, in the end, all things were made right when the Cleveland Browns, Quinn’s childhood team, traded up and selected Brady Quinn 22nd overall.
The first exciting day of the NFL draft is over. They got in three rounds in just over 11 hours. Here are the NFL selections for the first round in the 2007 NFL draft.
There were definitely some surprises and some questionable selections. As expected, the Oakland Raiders picked a QB as the #1 overall selection and they took the QB (JaMarcus Russell from Louisiana State) that most NFL draft gurus predicted.
