This battle top 25 teams got off to a slow start in the first half at the half the Oregon Ducks were winning 13-6. The second half, especially the fourth quarter, was full of fireworks. After three quarters of play Oklahoma had a 20-13 lead. They scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was action-packed from start to finish. Both teams combined to score 34 points in the final quarter.

Well, this game certainly shouldn’t have been this close considering Oklahoma is supposed to be the number 10 team in the country and the UAB Blazers are, well, they are the UAB Blazers. This game was tied 7-7 at the half and the Blazers were feeling great. Why shouldn’t they? UAB was tied at the half with the #10 team in the country in Oklahoma. The 3rd quarter was filled with fireworks as both teams put up multiple scores. Going into the 4th, it was a close game—21-17 Oklahoma. However, UAB sputtered in the fourth and failed to score. The Sooners added an insurance field goal and won the game 24-17.
