All Ends Well in Ohio

An emotional game was played in Oxford, Ohio last night. Northwestern came to town without their coach, Randy Walker, who died earlier this year. The team was noticeably shaky and revved up with emotions. They wanted this win—bad. Standing in their way was Miami of Ohio. Would they play down a little on such an emotion filled night to ensure Walker gets his due respect? Well, if they did, no one would admit to it.

The Northwestern Wildcats struggled at first, but in the end, they put three TD’s on the board. The defense for Northwestern did their job and held Miami of Ohio to just 3 points. The 21-3 final was filled with emotion all over the field. Walker’s widow received the game ball from Northwestern. The team is planning to honor Walker when they return home next week to play their home opener against New Hampshire.
