The first BCS standings on this season are out and there’s a little shake up. Despite what many have thought about USC this season, they are still ranked #2 according to the BCS. Let’s take a quick look at this week’s BCS Standings.

There’s a huge drop off after #3 Michigan. The game between #1 Ohio State and #3 Michigan is getting bigger each week. The winner will be looking at a BCS Championship bid for sure. Boise State is 8-0 at #15 with just a rating of .432, which is less than 1/2 of Michigan’s rating.

We shouldn’t see too much meaningful change this week. It’s looking more and more like Ohio State / Michigan vs. USC for the BCS Championship. I’m just not sold on USC this season. Yes, they are a good team despite their personnel losses, but there’s something missing. I don’t think they are the same quality of team as Ohio State or even Michigan. Time will tell.
