Teddy Craft was a senior wide receiver for Georgia Southern. On Tuesday night, near Statesboro, Georgia, he was riding his motorcycle. Unfortunately, he was involved in a two-vehicle accident. Craft was said to be in critical condition when they took him to a nearby hospital—East Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. However, it’s now been confirmed that Craft has died.

According to Georgia Southern, Craft was wearing a helmet when he crashed. Craft was a second-team All-Southern Conference selection over the past two years. The senior led the Eagles in both reception yards and touchdowns last season. He really came on strong and the end of the season and a better year was expected. His death just further amplifies how dangerous riding a motorcycle really is. Even wearing the proper safety equipment is not enough.
