College Football Betting - This game had all the makings of a high scoring affair. Practically no one would’ve bet that this game would not have a single touchdown scored. However, that’s just what happened. In the first quarter both teams exchanged field goals. The score was tied 3-3 after one quarter of play. In the second, third, and fourth quarters the TCU Horned Frogs added field goals.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders failed to score past their opening field goal. Considering their scoring prowess it was a major accomplishment for the TCU defense to hold them out of the end zone. For TCU chris Manfredini was a man of the day. He put four field goals on the board and helped lead TCU to a 12-3 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Texas Tech had 242 yards of offense. They only had 38 yards on the ground. TCU wasn’t much better. They had 281 yards of total offense. Their offense was slightly run heavy. TCU quarterback Jeff Ballard was 13 of 23 for 101 yards. On the ground, it was Aaron Brown getting the job done. He had 72 yards over 18 carries. His longest run of the day was 12 yards. Quarterback Jeff Ballard also contributed to the run game with 66 yards over nine carries.

Red Raiders quarterback Graham Harrell was 23 of 47 for 204 yards. He spread the ball around the offense. This game was supposed to be an offensive shootout, but it turned into a defense of battle. The Texas Tech Red Raiders suffer their first loss of the season and are now 2-1. The TCU horned frogs continue their season undefeated as they are now 3-0.

TCU moved up to 16 in this week’s AP top 25 poll. Next week they welcome in BYU.
