University of Oregon Loses Players

The Ducks of Oregon have lost four players. The players include: Tucker Callahan (linebacker), Terrell Jackson (running back), Thor Pili (defensive lineman) and Levi Horn (offensive linemen). The reason for the four leaving Oregon is unanimous. Simply put, they want more playing time. In fact, they want any playing time. Among these four players, only Terrell Jackson played last season.

Jackson had 27 carries last season for 107 yards. Not exactly a solid contribution. Compared to the other three though, it’s monumental. He was a third string running back. Here’s the problem with transferring. If they transfer to another Division I-A level school, they would need to sit out for one full season. However, they could play next season if they transfer to a school below the I-A level.

It’s uncertain where each of these former Oregon players will go. The Ducks are going to make some switches on the roster to compensate for the loss.
