The NFC is just pathetic. At 6-6, the Atlanta Falcons are smack dab in the middle of the playoff hunt. This will be the last “easier” game for the Falcons though. After Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay, the Falcons finish up the season against Dallas, Carolina and Philadelphia.
Last week the Falcons beat a hapless Redskins team 24-14 in Washington. Michael Vick continues to play okay one week and poorly the next. He had a decent game against the Redskins, so will this be the game that he throws a few interceptions? He is showing some minor improvement in 2006.
Tampa Bay is 3-9 and should be left for dead. After Sunday’s contest, they will play Chicago, Cleveland and Seattle. They have a golden opportunity to wreck the playoff hopes of a division foe if they can win this one.
The game should be pretty close. I like the Falcons, but part of me thinks the Bucs could upset. When in doubt, pick the better team—Falcons win by 3.
