The Carolina Panthers have decided to part ways with wide-receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

This story is kind of sad. It was just the other day, during the NFL draft, when Johnson was beaming with pride, because the Panthers just selected Dwayne Jarrett from USC.

“This guy is much like me,” Johnson said.

He went on to talk about how great it was going to be to have Jarrett on the team. In fact, he even talked to Jarrett one-on-one during the broadcast of the NFL draft. It was like watching a parent talk about their child.

All that is gone now. The Panthers have younger receivers now and they decided to go with them.

So, Johnson is out of work. Will another team pick him up?

Perhaps he’ll get a phone call from a team like the Cleveland Browns.
